Fermented cornmeal contains most of the nutrients from the corn kernels in powder form except for the main component of starch, which is a by-product of ethanol production. Fermented corn (DDGS) is rich in crude protein, amino acids, phosphorus and other nutrients used in animal diets. The valuable nutrient content in fermented corn is an essential ingredient in current animal feed formulations. Fermented cornstarch is usually yellow, orange.
